I work at Ouzinkie Native Corporation and volunteer for SIDCO. I couldn't be prouder! This has been a very busy season and absolutely everyone has come together to make this happen. Isn't that beautiful? Support Ouzinkie
About the village, Tribe, City, and non-profit SIDCO....They’re done waiting. Done watching. Done letting others define their story.
In their Native community, the leaders are taking control of the narrative around health and wellbeing, and they’re doing it with strength, pride, and purpose. For too long, conversations around Indigenous health have focused on deficits, disparities, and discouragement. But that’s not their truth. Their truth is resilience. Their truth is action. Their truth is transformation.
That’s why they built the Community Connectivity Center, a space designed not just for gathering, but for growing. It’s more than a building. It’s a declaration. A commitment to the people, the culture, and the future.

And now, the real magic begins.
Through powerful partnerships, they’re launching programs that uplift, energize, and empower. From in-person classes to online Peloton sessions, they’re creating opportunities for movement, connection, and healing. These aren’t just workouts, they’re acts of reclamation. Every step, every breath, every beat is a reminder: they are here, they are strong, and they are thriving.
Is it exciting? You know it!
This is what it looks like when a community takes the bull by the horns. When they stop talking about what’s wrong and start building what’s right. When they honor their ancestors by investing in their descendants.
So, let’s keep moving. Let’s keep building. Let’s keep telling the story, one of hope, health, and unstoppable momentum.
Because the narrative is theirs. And they’re just getting started.
